Why?

Our Sfouf/Sellou ...

Can be consumed in the morning/afternoon/evening or in between as an energetic food. The high-quality crumbs contain important substances such as proteins, manganese, copper and B2.

  • Proteins are excellent building blocks for the body. Your muscles use proteins to recover after exercise and your immune system needs them to produce antibodies. In addition, proteins are more satiating than carbohydrates and fats.

  • Manganese plays many essential roles in our body's metabolism. It helps the nervous system function normally and is needed for the production of cartilage and bone. In addition, it supports your energy level.

  • Copper is an essential nutrient for the body (even more important for pregnant women).
    Copper is needed to convert iron into hemoglobin (red blood cells). Copper is needed to maintain healthy bones, blood vessels, nerves and immune function and it contributes to the absorption of iron.

  • Vitamin B2 is important for healthy skin and mucous membranes. It helps protect the cells in your body from oxidative damage and helps with fatigue.

Our story..

This story began as many beautiful stories have begun.
This story actually started with mother's own homemade Sfouf / Sellou.

As a little child, I always looked forward to the month of Ramadan.
One of the reasons was because my mother always prepared the delicate crumbs around this month.
I always ate greedily from this (with and without permission), until the last crumb was gone. After I also ate from their supplies during family visits (which by the way did not taste like my mother's sfouf), a sad realization prevailed in which I realized that I would not be eating Sfouf/Sellou again for a while.

This disappointment has been repeated for years, from the 1990s to 2021.

In the year 2021, it was decided to do something concrete with the pitiful feeling. But to tackle this on a larger scale than just selling this dish, together with this dish, the aim is to bring more appreciation and appreciation around us. And in 2022, this has resulted in setting up a website where the stakes are high, where we will see each other's beautiful qualities more, where we will reflect on them more often and through which I can provide not only myself but also all other Sfouf/Sellou lovers with the tasty crumbs.
